A tantalising exploration of death and the search for a purpose in life. What Now, José? bridges the gap between opera, musical theatre and poetry. Where’s José going after all? Who are they? Are they here?

Society is a mirror that can deceive us into thinking we are something we are not. Can we learn to break free from its reflections and see ourselves as we truly are?

Contemporary, Drama

A group are stranded on an island bringing out very different aspects of their souls. As the boundary between good and evil becomes blurred, it’s unclear if this will be a story of survival or despair.

Yilan Luan. First, let me introduce a little bit about YIYU Bespoke. We are a cultural and educational start-up company which is based at and supported by UCL Innovation and Enterprise. We provide museum and gallery courses and educational workshops for Chinese students online and offline. We also organise summer camp activities for them.

This year, we are very proud to bring a Chinese original children drama to the UK. The children are all from a school drama club in Ningbo city, China. They are all very creative and love to perform. They had their performance many times in China, and they all did very well. This year, they would love to present their new show at Edinburgh Fringe. It is a big step for them, and they are trying their best to make it happen. This idea is positively supported by their parents and the school. YIYU Bespoke is appointed by the school and will be in charge of the whole process and bring them to the UK and hopefully they can make their dream come true.
